William’s writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Associated Press, and other regional magazines. He’s worked for Maesrk, the largest container-shipping company in the world, but it was while working for Richmond Times-Dispatch as a newspaper reporter that William first heard the stories of U-boats operated off American shores. In this interview, he shares the amazing story of the U.S Merchant Marines and their important role in WWII.

In Washington, D.C., 9/11 Day plans to work with the AARP Foundation and other organizations pack more than one million meals for at-risk seniors, children, and veterans.
