Military spouse, Chandee Ulch, is making waves for the military community. She has teamed with Senator Susan Collins of Maine to create a bill helping military spouses build their retirement savings, despite frequent moves. The bill would give tax credits to small employers who hire military spouses, while also making them immediately eligible for retirement plan participation, within two months of hire. Military Families Magazine shares about Chandee Ulch and her role in getting this bill off the ground.

“Military spouses are the unsung heroes of our country’s national defense. I have heard from numerous military spouses how they often put their professional lives on hold, threatening their long-term retirement security,” said Senator Collins.

To relieve stress, he recommends “regular exercise, meditation, practic[ing] deep breathing, listening to music, and spending time with your favorite person or pooch.”

Fauci shared that he takes supplemental vitamins C and D.

“There is good evidence that if you have a low vitamin D level, that you have more of a propensity to get infected when there are infections around,” he said.
