AWTR Show #714: Sharenthood

Join AWN Command Team members Sarah Peachey and Mackenzie Zamarron as they continue our new season of Army Wife Talk Radio! Our guest is Leah Plunkett, the author of a new book called Sharenthood: Why We Should Think Before We Talk About Our Kids Online.

In Sharenthood, Leah examines the implications of “sharenting”—adults’ excessive digital sharing of children’s data. She outlines the mistakes adults make with kids’ private information, the risks that result, and the legal system that enables sharenting. But Leah isn’t here to criticize parents. As a mother herself, she has made her own sharenting mistakes. She wants to encourage parents to take a break from the sharing norm and really think about the type of “sharents” they want to be.
