AWTR Show #842: Pelocity: Assessments for Mapping your Career

Retiring from the military can be a scary time. Not just for the service members themselves, but also for the spouses. Transitioning out of the military comes with its challenges. That’s where Pelocity comes in.

Pelocity is a career guidance platform dedicated to helping active-duty and transitioning military families discover not only their passion, but their best fit career. There’s also a job board where you can search for different jobs, even using an MOS code. And, Pelocity is free to military members enrolled through the USO or Onward 2 Opportunity.

Two years ago, there was a guy who was transitioning out of the military after 12 years of service. He came to Pelocity and took the assessment where a job came up that he had never thought about before. He actually ended up not only getting that job, but two years later, he’s been promoted and still loves his job.

Stephen Pollan strives every day to make Assessment Technologies Group (ATG) the best in the business of organizational consulting and always perseveres through difficulties until the job is done right. Stephen is a well-respected businessman and devotes a great deal of his time to improving the Jacksonville community as a member of many local boards and councils.

If you want to check out more about Pelocity, you can check it out here, or follow them on social media via Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn.

“We are a community that connects deeply, creating bonds that outlast our presence.
And because of that bond, that connection, that understanding of duty and honor and a calling, we know that this was worth something.

It doesn’t matter where you come from, how you vote, who you love that you look like, or what you believe—if at any time you find yourself struggling, you find yourself with endless questions, you have things to say but don’t know who will listen, send us an email to info@armywifenetwork.com, send us a message through your preferred social media, or post on one of our pages. We are here for you, not just through the hard times, but always.
If you’re a service member who is struggling or you know someone struggling, please reach out to the Veterans Crisis Hotline for support. Today, we want to highlight Army Wife Network’s (AWN) very own twice-a-month newsletter, The SITREP, or “Situation Report”. More than your typical newsletter, the SITREP is a one-stop-shop for all things milspouse empowerment: news, humor, and resources on a variety of topics. Whether you’re a seasoned spouse or just beginning to dip your toes into the milspouse life, THE SITREP is where you’ll find the empowering information important to you, twice a month, every month.

It usually highlights some of our recent blog posts and podcast episodes to make sure that we don’t miss a beat. Plus, it has a sweet referral program that earns you swag when you get your battle buddies to sign up! If you don’t currently get THE SITREP, sign up on the right side of our website.
