AWTR Show #820: Davis Inspired

Judy got the dreaded knock with uniformed soldiers at her door. In an instant, her life changed. Her husband Jeff had been injured in a training accident. Judy immediately left her business to become a full-time caregiver. That’s when she was inspired by creativity.

Judy’s philosophy is when life gets tough, creativity can bring you out of it. It can put a pause on the challenges. We all have challenges, everyone has to deal with things that they don’t know how to deal with. Creativity has a way of looking at things without being attached to the outcome. So when life gets crazy, take a moment to step back and let yourself do something creative. Find something that inspires you and find a way to step away from the stress of your life.

Judy reminds us that just because things are different, doesn’t mean they’re bad. There are positive experiences that have come out of this tragedy. Of course, we’re all human, so there will be bad days. But most importantly remember that if you’re going through something similar, you don’t have to do it alone.

From articles and posts to art and timely advice, Davis Inspired is on a mission to help you stress less.

An Army spouse of almost 18 years, Judy Davis is no stranger to the ups and downs of military life. What you may not know is that in 2019, Judy became a full-time caregiver after her husband Geoff, a combat engineer, suffered an above-knee amputation, a TBI, and other injuries in an explosive blast while training in WA state.  Together the couple not only found unique ways to deal with the challenges of navigating this unfamiliar territory, but they now share those skills, art, and timely advice with others in an effort to help them stress less at DavisInspired.com
