A Shoutout to Milspouses

Not to BRAGG, but our milspouses are resourceful and resilient.

Like LEWIS and Clark, their spirit of adventure takes them to the far reaches of the world.

They say “Aloha” to the beaches of HAWAII and “Annyeonghaseyo” to the farmlands of SOUTH KOREA.

They say “Guten Nacht” to the lush landscape of GERMANY and wake up to unparalleled beauty in the LAND OF THE RISING SUN.

They climb the majestic mountains of COLORADO and witness God’s handiwork in the sunsets of SIERRA VISTA.

They spread their wings in the lover’s state of VIRGINIA, from the maritime posts in the south to the Potomac and monuments of the north.

They let the “good times roll” from LOUISIANA to SAVANNAH while they hang with the “masters” in AUGUSTA.

They experience the BLISS of living in Texas, and although their ‘HOOD may be hot, they always feel welcome in THE GREAT PLACE.

Scattered throughout the northeast, military spouses find themselves marching to the beat of their own DRUM, and we love them for that!

They proudly walk through the sunflowers of KANSAS and “get lost” in the woods of MISSOURI.

They support young troops training on the windy plains of OKLAHOMA and in the low country of SOUTH CAROLINA.

They help their service members study the art of war in the colleges and battlefields of PENNSYLVANIA, D.C., and on that historic POINT above the Hudson River.

They bear witness to the care and treatment of families in the healing hospitals of BETHESDA and SAN ANTONIO.

They live in the unique spaces below the Verazzano Bridge of Brooklyn and above the Mason Dixon Line in New Jersey.

They thrive in the long winters of ALASKA and the even longer summers of FLORIDA

They travel the long, desolate miles in the desert of CALIFORNIA and surf the WHITE SANDS of New Mexico.

They hone their language skills in MONTEREY and their communication skills in MARYLAND.

They “tiptoe through the tulips” of THE NETHERLANDS, pose in the bluebonnets of TEXAS, and reflect in the red poppy fields of BELGIUM.

They celebrate High Tea in ENGLAND and drink Turkish coffee in INCIRLIK

They are the real MCCOYS in the Midwest, from Wisconsin to the RED RIVER DEPOT.

From QATAR to KUWAIT, they adapt to new cultures, learn different customs, and get to use the expression, “It’s all GREEK to me.”

Like the fierce Gladiators of the past, they leave their legacy in Italy from the streets of ROME to the canals of VENICE.

Life isn’t always golden for the military spouse. They endure some hard KNOX, but like the SCREAMING EAGLES of CAMPBELL, they always find a way to soar!

They are wives and husband.

They are mothers and fathers.

They are citizens of the world.

They are our military spouses.
